Leadership

"My personal goal is not only to deliver optimum advertising results and meet clients’ expectations, but to simply exceed them."

MILTON CORADO

Since holding his first desktop publishing job back in 1984, Milton has had the opportunity to help corporate and individual clients conceive, achieve, and implement distinctive corporate identities and advertising, digital materials, packaging, conceptualization, illustrations and creative services.

Milton’s 25 years of experience is a direct result of his start in the advertising industry at a very young age. His professional background includes working as an Art Director for one of the largest international advertising agencies in Central and South America: Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide - Modernoble Publicidad - providing creative visual solutions to clients such as Kimberly Clark, Revlon, Bartles & James, Pizza Hut, Phillips Morris and others for the region of Central America.

Building on his experience, Milton trained with visual communicators from Diario El Mundo (Spain), and worked towards his graphic communications diploma in El Salvador (ENSETEC). His next challenge:  9 years as Art Director for El Diario de Hoy - a major Latin American daily newspaper with a circulation of 750 000 copies. Milton trained the art department staff on the then-emerging Macintosh platform desktop publishing software, supervised and directed the creative process, designed advertising material and created editorial content and political cartoons.

After relocating to Winnipeg in 1993, Milton found another stage on which perform: for Circle Design Inc. as a Digital Media Technician and Digital Illustrator and  provided design and production input to problem-solving process. Constructive evaluation of proposed design solutions was also part of his role. At the same time, he graduated from a one-year course from Computer Multimedia Technology Centre in 1994.

Milton joined designtype in 1994 and now acts as a principal of a dedicated and passionate design and new-media team, overseeing the creative services to numerous clients and ensuring that designtype continues to make its mark in the always challenging advertising industry.
