Autumn is upon us once again, and that can only mean one thing: the annual Manitoba Art Expo is right around the corner.
Now in its 15th year, the annual exhibition presented by the Assiniboia Group of Artists Cooperative, Inc., Art Expo is a juried show featuring Manitoba artists, working in a wide variety of media. Whether your taste runs to watercolours, or glassware, landscapes or fabric art, the Manitoba Art Expo features something for everyone.
With the understanding that art builds community, the Manitoba Art Expo has partnered with the Winnipeg Free Press Pennies From Heaven campaign in support of Winnipeg Harvest and the Christmas Cheer Board. In addition, through their "Framers Corner" feature, the Manitoba Art Expo has donated over $52 000 to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation over the last 10 years.
At designtype, we have the great good fortune to provide printing services to many of the artists participating in the exhibition. As the days grow shorter, and leaves and temperatures fall, our Art Reproduction Department is humming, producing high quality giclée prints, note cards and promotional materials for our artist clients.
For the past several years, we have attended the show as an exhibitor - working directly with our artist clients to provide information directly to their customers. Please join Jamie and myself at the 2011 show, November 3rd to 6th at the Assiniboia Downs. See some great art, meet the artists who create it, while supporting some wonderful local charities.

- Thursday, November 3rd 6 - 9 pm
- Friday, November 4th 1- 9 pm
- Saturday, November 5th 10 am - 8 pm
- Sunday, November 6th 12 - 5 pm
